Edison RM Magneto RX

The RM series was used as OEM  by many engine builders including Gravely, Wisconsin, John Deere,Kaiser Fraser tillers, Indian Motorcycles, and many others. Base mount models were supplied in two different base to center of shaft distances and used two different base mount housings.  They were designed as a low cost alternative  and when in repair were quite hot. Condensers used in the single cylinder models can be very annoying due to the failure rate and difficulty retrofitting and occasionally the coils begat sticky goo effectively gluing the armature in place ready to break the drive shaft or Woodruff key with a mighty crank.  Unfortunately, many did not improve with age.
